Ms. Rachel Branton, APRN, CPNP
Rachel was born in Shreveport, Louisiana and graduated from Northwestern State University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She was a registered nurse in Shreveport-Bossier for 8 years working in Pediatric Intensive Care, General Pediatrics, and Neonatal Intensive Care before returning to school at the University of South Alabama to complete her Masters of Science in Nursing, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner degree.
She is a board certified pediatric nurse practitioner. She plans to continue her education to receive her doctorate in Nursing Practice over the next few years. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, and Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners.
She is married to Todd Branton, together they have a beautiful daughter, Ryan McKenzie, and a gorgeous boykin spaniel, Lucy Lou. Rachel enjoys being a wife and mom, and if there is any time left over in the day, volunteering, reading, cooking, and traveling are some of her interests.
Rachel joined joined Ark-La-Tex Children's Clinic in February 2016. She works 2 days a week for Dr. Sanders while also serving as an instructor at the Northwestern School of Nursing.
